– The final match for four Cal Poly Pomona seniors took place Saturday night as the Broncos closed the 2009 season with a 3-1 loss to visiting San Francisco State in California Collegiate Athletic Association volleyball. 

The Broncos, who lost 21-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-17, completed the year 11-18 overall and 8-14 in the CCAA, while SFSU ended its year 20-10 and 13-9. 

Sophomore Kristin McNeese led CPP with 17 kills and teammates Elizabeth Diaz (11) and freshman Taylr Kreutziger (10) were the only other Broncos in double figures in kills. 

The Broncos fired 51 kills in the four-game loss, but were haunted by their 30 attack errors. SFSU had 55 kills, but committed just 15 errors in earning the season series over the Broncos. 

Diaz, Jasmine Davis, Audrey Driscoll and Carissa Gurney played in their final match for CPP. Davis concluded her four-year career fourth on the all-time assist charts with 3,139 assists, while Driscoll was seventh in career digs with 955. 

The Gators were led by Beth Perkins' 22 kills. The Gators had 16 block assists as Sarah Lewis had 11 kills and seven block assists.
