Game Notes: Broncos vs. BYU Hawaii
BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The 24-6 Cal Poly Pomona Broncos will face 22-5 BYU Hawaii at 7 p.m. Monday night for the NCAA Tournament West Region men's basketball title.
The winner will advance to the NCAA Elite Eight on March 24-25 and 27 in Springfield, Mass.
The game is a rematch of a year ago where CPP defeated the Seasiders 58-57 on All-American Larry Gordon's putback basket with 3 seconds remaining. The Broncos went on to finish as the national finalist to Findlay.
Cal Poly Pomona will be playing in its fourth West Region title game in the last eight years and the Seasiders are in the region final for the third straight year.
