Travis Taijeron were named to the 2010 NCAA ABCA/Rawlings West Region team, the organization announced.
Torres, who was named All-West Region by the NCBWA last week, hit .313 for the 26-27 Broncos this past season. The Valencia native earned first-team status as he played both catcher and first base. He hit 12 home runs with 54 RBI and had 22 extra-base hits.
Taijeron earned second-team honors as an outfield selection. The El Cajon native established the school record in home runs with 16 and had 48 RBI. He led CPP with a .345 average.
Each member of the first team will be eligible for All-American consideration, selected in Cary, N.C., during the NCAA Tournament.
The “Player of the Year” and the “Pitcher of the Year” in the West Region is guaranteed a spot on one of the three “All-American Teams” selected.
