POMONA, Calif. - With 12 seniors on the roster and head coach Octavious Gillespie-Bennett entering his first season with the program, the highly anticipated 2013 Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field season will begin on Feb. 16.

Gillespie-Bennett announced the complete schedule Wednesday and the Broncos are set to compete at 15 regular season meets. From there, CPP has its sights set on excelling at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships along with earning a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships. The Broncos finished sixth at the 2012 CCAA Championships and a few weeks later at the national meet, Tiffany Dinh placed 14th in the 10,000-meter event.

The 2013 conference meet will be held from May 2 through May 4 in Turlock on the campus of Cal State Stanislaus while nationals will be hosted once again by Colorado State Pueblo at the Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl.

Dinh, a two-time All-American in cross country, returns for her senior track and field season in 2013 and she'll be joined by 11 other Bronco fourth-year student-athletes on the roster. The first chance to see the Broncos in action will be Feb. 16 in La Jolla with a dual meet against UC San Diego.

There will be plenty of local meets for the Broncos in 2013, including two in Claremont: the Feb. 23 Rossi Relays hosted by Claremont Mudd Scripps at the Burns Track Complex and the April 13 Pomona Pitzer Invitational held at Strehle Track. At last year's Rossi Relays, the distance medley of Lizette Huerta, Brooke Gamble, Mia Moreno and Dinh set a program record with a time of 11:58.78.

The Broncos will also host a Pomona Preview meet on Saturday, March 2 at Mt. San Antonio College's Hilmer Lodge Stadium. CPP will return to Mt. SAC for the prestigious relays from April 18 through April 20.
