Biography

In 2012 Cross Country: Placed 21st at the NCAA Division II National Championships to become the second two-time All-American in the history of Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country... She is just one of three CPP student-athletes in program history to reach All-American status with Joann Howard (1985 & 1986) and Kellie Taylor (1990) winning the honor previously... In working her way through the 6,000-meter course in Joplin, she ended up crossing the line with a time of 21:06.8... That fell just 12 seconds shy of her personal best, which she set at the start of the 2011 season in Riverside... On Nov. 3 in Hawaii, she finished second at the West Region Championships to earn All-West Region honors for the third-straight season. In the Oct. 20 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships held in La Jolla, she took second to receive All-CCAA accolades for the third-consecutive year.

In 2012 Track & Field: Put together a breakout track and field campaign in 2012... Excelled in both the 5,000- and 10,000-meter events, using a clutch 35:45.87 10K performance on May 12 at the Cal State L.A. Last Chance Meet to qualify for the 2012 NCAA Division II National Championships in Colorado... That qualifying mark ranks as the second-best time in program history for the 10K... At nationals in Pueblo, Colo., she finished 14th in the 10,000-meter event... Finished as one of three Broncos in 2012 to earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region accolades... Received selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for her excellent work in the classroom... On May 7 at the CPP athletic department's annual "Night of Excellence," she received the 2011-12 Female Co-Athlete of the Year award... Her stellar academic marks also earned her spots on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team and California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team.

In 2011 Cross Country: Capped off a spectacular junior season with All-American honors, placing 36th at the NCAA D-II National Championships in Spokane, Wash... Became just the third All-American in Broncos' women's cross country program history... She finished with a time of 22:17.0 over the 6,000 meters... Her top mark for the 2011 season proved to be the 20:54.8 time she posted in the season-opening meet at UC Riverside... At the West Region Championships, Dinh finished sixth overall to earn All-West Region honors... She began the postseason with a second-place performance in Santa Rosa at the CCAA Championships, a showing that got her All-Conference selection.

In 2011 Track & Field: Received selection to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team after recording a grade-point average above 3.40 through the 2010-11 school year... Narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Division II Championships, after tallying a 16:59.64 "B" provisional mark in the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays.

In 2010 Cross Country: Improved dramatically from her freshman campaign and led the Broncos' women's cross country squad to its first appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championships in 25 years... At the national race in Louisville, Ky., she placed 72nd with a time of 23:03.0... Finished second overall at the CCAA Championships in Whittier, Calif., earning a spot on the All-CCAA First Team... Selected as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Honoree for maintaing a grade point average above 3.30.

In 2010 Track & Field: Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team and the CPP "Scholar-Ballers" list for holding a grade-point average over 3.40 during the 2009-10 school year... Finished with the second-best CPP time on the season in the 1,500-meter event, crossing the line in 4:43.73 at the Azusa Pacific Invitational on April 16... Also ran well in the 800-meter race at the same invitational, registering a mark of 2:22.25... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team for the 2009-10 school year after maintaining a grade-point average above 3.40.

In 2009 Cross Country: Earned CCAA Freshman of the Years honor by placing 17th (23:42.2 over 6,000 meters)... Competed in five events... Ran 23:18.0 over 6,000 m at Stanford and finished 96th.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Santa Fe High School, where she lettered in cross country and track and field… Ran personal-best 18:18 over 3 miles in cross country… Personal bests include: 64 in the 400, 5:19 in the mile, 2:21 in the 800, 11:43 in the 3200… Scholar athlete of the year in 2009.

Personal: Daughter of Tom Dinh and Son Pham… Business Administration major with Management and Human Resources option… Has three sisters named Jennifer, Cynthia and Samantha... Enjoys finding new things to do, hiking and hanging out with family and friends in her free time... Favorite pro athletes are Shaun White, Mo Farah and Natalie Coughlin... Favorite pro sports teams are the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bulls... Aspires to become a human resources administrator.
