POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's track and field teams are set to co-host the Pomona Preview Meet this week with neighboring school Mt. San Antonio College.

The meet will be held at Mt. SAC's Hilmer Lodge Stadium with hammer and javelin held Friday afternoon and the remaining events to take place on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Results will be posted on BroncoAthletics.com Saturday evening.

Saturday's schedule will also feature a 12:15 p.m. ceremony for the Broncos' senior student-athletes with nine on the men's team and 11 from the women's squad. The group of 20 has gotten off to a strong start in the 2013 season, including this past Saturday's performance at the Rossi Relays. The Competition
Saturday's meet held in Walnut will feature four track and field programs in addition to Cal Poly Pomona and Mt. SAC. Joining the Broncos and Mounties will be Cal State Fullerton, Cal State L.A., Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Bakersfield. The Golden Eagles of Cal State L.A. hosted last year's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships and finished second on the men's side and third for the women's competition.

Similarly to the Broncos and Golden Eagles, the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills have also had plenty of track and field success at the CCAA and Division II levels. The most notable CSUDH track and field alum is Carmelita Jeter, a six-time All-American and Gold medal winner at the 2012 London Games.

Schedule

The meet will be capped off with the 4x400 relay as the women's event is set to begin at 4:05 p.m. Saturday and the men's event will follow immediately after.
